- Why did you marry in church? I never had a thought of getting married anyplace else. We were married at our Cathedral by a priest who knew both my husband and I since we were kids.

- Why did you marry in church? Well, for one thing, we met in that church, so it was a very special place to us. Plus, to have the ministers we love and trusted, right there in such a beautiful, quiet, sacred place, where our family celebrated communion together during the service, just seemed like the obvious thing to do. And it was perfect, if I do say so myself.

- Where did you marry and why? We got married in Jackson Hole, WY outside of the visitors center beside the Elk Refuge. Why there you say - we had never been there (it's beautiful out there) and we aren't real religious people so church was not an option. We didn't have a traditional ceremony. The magistrate read us a native american marriage type thing, I have the copy of it. It was outside, just hubby and myself, his parents and the magistrate. No dress for me either. It was just what we wanted and I wouldn't change anything about it.

NO we did not marry in a church. Although we are both Christians we got married at the courthouse. We went for our marriage license on Friday and got married on Monday. It was just the two of us. No one else was there.

It felt right at the time. It seemed like the thing to do. For our families. It was a compromise.

The reason we married in the first place is we believe that God wants man and woman to marry...otherwise, we would have just lived together, but we feel God wants man/woman to be in a union of marriage with Him as head of this union. So we married in a church b/c it is a place of God, a place of worship...so it only made sense!
