I just want what I am due and I feel I am due a nice hefty spousal support,my house, my car, health insurance, half his pension, half his 401k. Everything I can get...lol. I want it all!

And boy do we want you to get it all!! I don't know how the legal system works in your state, or any other state for that matter, but I am hoping that it will work in your favor. Maybe a quick chat with Johanna might help before you go so that you know what to expect.

Don't worry about the prayers - we will pick up the slack! The unknown is always a little scary, so it is natural to feel a little scared. I hope that at the end of the meeting things will look good!!

Robilee - your post had me logging in at work (me bad! lol). I'll add to all the PT Prayers for you, and you put some faith in your lawyer.

I am sure he/she has seen all the tricks exes can pull. And your medical people sound good; if you need any documentation from them, that will REALLY help.

I'm going to hold you in my thoughts and prayers this afternoon as you go to your attorney. If your attorney isn't tough enough, find another one, Robin. You're going to need someone who is firmly in your court. Be mad, but be smart, and let your attorney take all the action on your behalf. So many of us have been where you are and can't advise you, legally, but we can sure be out here praying for you and supporting you in spirit.

I couldn't agree more. You are going to need an attorney who is willing to advocate for your interests. Unfortunately there are those who'd rather be pals with the representatives of the other side. You'll know soon enough if yours is one you can count on. Remember though, you are a partner in this battle and there are words and actions (done in the heat of anger) that could be counter productive to your case. You need to keep your focus on the achieving your goal of getting what you deserve.
