I agree. I used to take Sassy to our mall and walk her around when she was a puppy. I loved it and she really enjoyed being with us instead of in her crate. I think all well-behaved dogs should be allowed in malls and such but I think the reason is because little dogs have hair and are hypoallergenic. Great danes, labs, etc. shed alot and people who are allergic can't shop well with them. That's what the security guard said when my uncle asked him why he couldn't bring his Greyhound to a local mall that allowed smaller dogs. Also, not all people carrying a dog in a purse thinks of it as an accessory. I saw a a bunch of people at the Super Pet Expo with poodles, chis, etc in purses but I me one lady who said her dog would rather be away from the bigger dogs because she is scared of them.
It bugs me when people refer to smaller dogs being misbehaved and "yappy". Unless you've owned one they aren't like that at all if they are trained properly. It's the same thing as pitbulls, they aren't all mean unless they are trained that way. Sure Sas barks at people who come in the house, but many dogs do, not just small breeds.
