    A small update:
Jack had his stitches out at the vets yesterday, he's a little tender as the nurse said they were quit tight stitches but he's fine and doesn't have to go back. We just have to keep an eye on him and if there is anything that concerns us to take him back. He's still breathing fast occasionally but only when he gets excited and purrs like if he's being petted or fed.
One problem he still has is he's pulling his fur out a lot, apparently that's a symptom of the hyperactivity, but I'm hoping he'll stop after his body settles down.

Any advice for pulling fur out?

Oh Jack, hooray! You are doing all the right things for recovery.

Can you distract him to a chew toy -- a mouse or some other cat toy - rather than the hair? Did they give you any ideas when this should stop? Sorry I don't have any experience with this.
