wow! We thought we were the only ones who had a pair like this. They are both over the rainbow bridge now, but our daughter's parakeet and our cockateil were roomies for a long time. So much so that when our daughter moved halfway cross the country, she decided to not take her parakeet away from Maynard, our goofy, talkative cockatiel. The two of them groomed each other, taught one another to say new things and gave us many years of entertainment. The morning we found our daughter's parakeet on the floor of their cage was a sad one indeed. Maynard was there trying to do what looked like birdie CPR on her. He didn't live much longer but they are both remembered by us and our neighbors who enjoyed summers more because the birds always spent summers on our patio enjoying the warm weather.

Congratulations and happy Pet of the Day, Lloyd and Chloe! Oh, what a darling duo, sort of the mutt and Jeff of the avian world! It's great to hear what best birdie buds you are, how well you get along! Makes your guardian happy for sure, and well, every critter needs a sidekick to pal around with! You sure put a smile on our faces today cutie pies and dual honors are definitely in order! I hope you kids are enjoying a super fun day of celebration, being spoiled to the max!
