    I saw this thread had moved to the memorial section and instantly my eyes filled with tears.
    I am so sorry. Play hard at the bridge Sweet Emily.
    Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

    I was hoping that somehow Emily would rally and that you would report better news. At least her suffering is over and she's free to rest and then play at the Bridge. I'm so sorry that you have to part w/her but you'll be together again one day. Until that time, know that all of us here at PT are thinking of you and wishing you peace.

    WhenI read that you got Emily to the ER vet, I thought that is good because Emily can be closely monitored(and it sure sounds like they did a great job). But, like my Nicholas, despite everything being done, things are not meant to be. You did ALL you could for Emily, she knows that and loves you! Prayers for you...take care of yourself....Sleep softly, sweet Emily...

    Oh Cheryl, I'm so sorry to read about Emily's passing. You did everything you possibly could, and she is now at peace.

    I want to add my deepest condolences to the ones already mentioned. Losing a pet is such a difficult thing. I checked first thing this morning and as again as soon as I got home right now for information about Emily. I'm very sorry to read the sad news.

    I am just heartsick reading this thread. Know that you did everything possible for Emily - and you would never allow her to suffer.

    Warm consoling hugs are being sent out to you Cheryl. It is so - so difficult to lose a pet - and our hearts go out to you.
