I am so very sorry for your loss. I am a firm believer there is a special place in Heaven for all of our pets who have passed on. I know I will be greeted by quite a few of them and will be thrilled to see them all!! I can't express how my heart is breaking for you and your Mom. I am very sure that Cassie couldn't have had a better home and was loved dearly. I am new to this site and can see already just by reading some of the posts how much everyone here loves animals, just as I do. Again, my heartfelt condolences to you. Kelley
Yes, Leslie, I remember when you got Cassie for your mom. Seems like yesterday. I'm so sad Cassie isn't with us physically, but she will always be in our hearts. Bless your mom for loving her so much to make the decision to send her to the Bridge. I'm sure Graham is waiting for her.
I've been Boooo'd!
Very sad to hear about Cassie. But so glad she was surrounded by those that loved her when it came time to say goodbye. I'm glad your mom wasn't alone for that. Rest peacefully, Cassie.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
I miss you
I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.
Fur as dark as the night.
Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Thank you very much for your sweet comments, everyone. My mom also wanted me to thank you. She read the comments and she cried. I told her she should create an account and thank you all herself, she said that she'll try to make the time to do so.
Ritzie, her shih tzu, still looks for his sister, Cassie. He is missing Cassie for sure. I know Cassie is in a wonderful, beautiful place, but we all miss her.
Leslie, forgive me, please, for not seeing this sooner.I have to tell you that after all the health issues with dear Cassie, over the years, I thought I had missed her passing away. For her to live to almost 16 years old is remarkable! What a sweet soul, and what a blessing you and your mother were to her all those years. Without that love and good care, she surely wouldn't have lived so long.
Rest in peace, dear Cassie. We always loved you and will, forever.
Logan
