How do you force feed a cat?

A syringe (no needle) is used. A soft pea soup mixture of cat food and calorie supplement is common to help them gain weight and get their appetite back.

Cats can eat without teeth, you just have to give them foods they can swallow.

Sorry for the late update....been a little busy.

BraveHeart is doing well. Doesn't take the force feeding as well as Mr Meow did, but we are getting there. I can't wit until he eats onhis own, though.

I did a little creative grooming on him, since his large luxurious mane kept getting full of that "lovely" pea-soup food of his.

He is pretty good for eveything....giving pills, sub-Q fluids, grooming etc.

I say he has a real good chance of thriving now.

I wonder if his face will look a little less 'mad' when he heals? He must have been hurting something fierce.

ALL the teeth had to come out? kb2yx's Raven has been toothless for over 10 years, and just eats like a horse.
