Some of these will come in handy as I attempt to recover some data from what I fear is a dying/dead hard drive on my desktop. I've heard some of the tricks before, like putting it in the freezer, but have never had to try any of them. This is my first hard drive failure in getting close to 2 decades of owning a computer. (Never have even had to reformat one.)
