As we never know how old they are when they are sold, at least we know he had a happy life for the time he spent with you, and that he didn't suffer a long illness.

It's so empty because every time I walked into the kitchen he would swim up to the surface. I just hope it wasn't something that I did that caused him to die since it was so sudden.
