    We had a good night last night! No seizures. He got me up about 4:00 to go out and then I laid on the couch with him until 5 when Carl gets up. He actually ate some food last night after I spiced it up with some left overs. I am feeling a little more hopeful now. So I thought I would post a few pictures of Snoopy

    Here is one taken Memorial Day weekend at a picnic we had with Staci and Phred and dog crews after the big dog park meeting the day before.

    Here is one showing his general body shape - he is not little but the phenabarbital helped him add on pounds fast!

    Here is Snoopy last night

    And one showing the fluid around his belly

    I tried to respond last night, but got interupted. I am glad to hear that you had a good night last night. We really do learn to see the baby steps in any recovery when our babies are sick, don't we? He has such a charming face, I am sure that Snoopy wins over everyone he meets. Prayers are continuing for that handsome boy. {{{Hugs}}}

    i've only just read your thread here. So sorry you guys are going through all of this. I'm glad the leftovers helped Snoopy with his appetite. Maybe some tuna or raw chicken would go down easy.

    I'm glad Snoopy was able to eat a little better. Bless his heart, I can see
    how distended his belly is. I hope he stays as alert & comfortable as
    he seems now. Love ya Snoopy.

    We got through with another good night! His eyes look so much clearer than they have in a long time (not so drugged) and he is able to jump with a lot less wobbliness. But we are still having a terrible time getting him to eat. I put hamburger on his food last night and he ate very little of it last night. Since I am off for the weekend now - I will have a lot more time to work with him and trying to find something to tempt him. We really have to find a way to get him eating - poor boy.

    The vet from the OSU vet hospital called yesterday while I was at work to check up on Snoopy. Christy said she planned on calling our vet also.

    I am so grateful to all the people here who are thinking of and praying for my boy. It's working!

    Diana, I'm SO glad to hear he's eating a little more. Guess you'll have to make meatloaf more often!

    Good boy Snoopy!!

    I know when my cat wouldn't eat the vet prescribed her a liquid form of food which she lapped up with great enthusiasm! Is there a similar thing for dogs to make sure they get all they need until they want to eat again?
