I am ever so glad that this came off without a hitch. Kudos to all the participants (and a Happy Birthday too to Karen's John). Thankfully the staff at the airport had the heart to take good care of Woody while he waited for his ride.
Phred, you get a gold star for your logistics coordination. It did seem like quite a challenge but you've got the knack or should I say skill set.

Thankfully I had food, water, blankies, leash ready, so John and I flew out of the house, no lights on, coats over arms and raced to the airport. We left without cameras, sorry, but relied on our new camera phones.
Woody is asleep in John's caring arms while I type. He initiated my dining room rug when I wasn't looking and also the Big Bed, where I put him for a split second while I opened the door to his crate. (blankets etc now being washed). Woody would have NOTHING to do with his crate while we were up and about, so I took him back out for his 10th pee and now he's out like a light.
He sure is a cutie pie and I can't wait to see many more pictures of him in the future.
