Twisterdog, I would love to visit your house and meet your dogs, I love all dogs- with or without tails The two Dobes who once owned me had docked tails. It was not something, then or now, that would stop me getting or loving a dog, just that I believe it does not need to be done, especially just for looks.

I realize that docking and cropping are controversial topics. I'll offer my personal opinion on the matter - and it is just that, my personal opinion. I think whether or not you like or don't like the docked/cropped look, or would ever do it, is up to the individual, and shouldn't be dictated by others.
I agree. Though I have added my name to the Anti docking lobby it is not to dictate that I would intend. It is true that I would wish to see docking/cropping disappear but I know that it is going to take an awful long time for that to happen, in the meantime I would like to see more information and choice available. Believe it or not a lot of people do not know that some breeds are routinely docked, they think they are born that way.

Maybe if the trend continues, and we start to see more and more natural tails in the USA, then perhaps I would get used to the look on my breeds, and be ok with it.
It would take a long, long time but eventually that is how I would wish to be, USA, UK, everywhere.
