I don't think anyone on Pettalk is actually a foster, they just seem to say that, and then they adopt the animal. I KNOW I will have quite a few "foster failures" in my lifetime.

Oh, perish that thought ... if I had kept every dog I ever fostered or rescued, I would probably have over a hundred dogs by now. Eight is enough!

Oh, and I forgot about the puppies, Aspen and Sequoia. We were just going to a yard sale, having NO intention of coming home with three Jack Russells!

Isn't that the truth Twisterdog! I know some people on here think that I keep too many pets ... mostly cats, but I have formally rescued over 160 cats and kittens, and NO they are not all here!

When Rascal showed up in my yard, I already had two cats, I didn't want a third. However, his middle of the night yowling made me catch him and take him to the vets to be altered. I even tried to find him a home at the vets.

Annie and Emma were from a feral litter born next door. My neighbor was doing nothing about finding them homes. He knocked on my door and said "you can have those two kittens." I told him that I didn't want them and he just laughed at me and walked away.

It was clear they both were going into heat so I brought them into my home to avoid more unwanted kittens.

And as they say - "the rest is history"....................

Rascal is my good will ambassador..........he loves everyone. He is my heart kitty for sure.
