Sandie, I adopted (rescued) Coco from a home where the lady had decided to quit feeding her and just left her outside. The neighbor was kind enough to advertise the emergency situation needed to place Coco before this "owner" took her to the pound. Coco was about 11 months old when I got her, and I did introduce her right away! I think it was back in September or so when I got her. But that explains why you haven't heard much about her over the past year, because I didn't have her the that long!
