    Thanks everyone.

Yep, Hayley is too. She was due yesterday, but hasn't had her pups yet as far as I know.

We would prefer a male too, but can't have one of course because of Winston. I'm sure a girl will be almost as good though (once she grows up a bit, anyway! Sue was telling us what trouble makers a lot of female Dobe pups can be yesterday..).

Yeah... I've sort of come around to having a female. I want one now though. Sue said I have to be down a dog now before I get a dobe, but I'm going to talk to her about that. I'm thinking of retiring Clipse from agility, so I'm gonna need a new one to train.

    *Thanks Ashley*

They're so sweet. I love them all. Congrats on getting to keep one, spoiled . Me thinks the ear cropping doesn't flatter the skinny build of mom and her daughter though.

Yep, Fortune is red. She's a beautiful pup - reds are my favourite too.

    that's great, let us know.

Aw, wow! How sweet! Mama looks like such a good, well, mama.. LOL
I love that red Dobe, though. My vet has one and he is SO striking.

And wow! You're getting a puppy? That's totally awesome! Keep us updated!

    Thanks again everyone.

However, just thought I'd get it out now that I do not want to hear any opinions on ear cropping and how you (general you) don't like it. I have nothing against it at all as long as it's done responsibly, and our pup will be cropped.

I love dobies! They are wonderful dogs. My aunt had three of them when we were growing up, she lived next door. She had a black and tan female, a red and tan female and a buff and tan male.

I agree with the cropping opinions being kept to ones self if you are against it, that just gets arguements started. I personally agree that if it is done properly by an experienced vet and the owners are ready and willing to take on the responsibility of keeping the dog checked for infections and getting the appropriate care while healing done it is ones choice as to whether or not they want to do it. Dobies in my personal opinion look absolutely stunning when the ears are done.

Congradulations on the new pup. Please post lots and lots of pics so we can watch her grow!

The pictures are posted on a public forum. People post them to get opinions/comments

Sorry if you took that as a personal attack it wasnt...i just meant i dont like it I dont find it flattering. Just an opinion/comment....nothing more. I certainly did not make you out to be an ogre because you do choose to crop...i believe thats a personal choice.
