Both of my Grandfathers, and my own Dad, and now ME were / are Gift Savers ~
Put it away in a Safe Place - and hold on to it till a "proper event" requires something "nice"

After the Grandfathers and my Dad passed on - we were AMAZED at the number of BRAND NEW
and Still in the Packages "gifts" we found in closets and drawers ...
* New & Un-opened Dress Shirts
* New Socks
* New Underwear
* New Handkerchiefs
* Wallets
* Even a Belt or two

Mom could NEVER understand Dad and his moth-eaten wallet - Duct Tape couldn't repair it -
but he would NOT "break in" one of several new ones he kept in his dresser.

*I* even dig out stuff that's now two sizes Too Small ...

It's a HARD Habit to break!
