    Final update

    It wasn't meant to be...
The infection came from inside, so, instead of getting my miracle neurostimulator, the surgeon had no other choice than removing EVERYTHING , even the elektrodes placed in september...
I am home, but very much in shock...
No great Christmas time for me....

ps. I feel a question coming: what now??? If my body heals well, they will attend a second trial. It will be everything in 1 go then. But.... I will have to wait SEVERAL months for this .
I miss you enormously Sydney, Maya, Inka & Zazou Be happy there at the Rainbow Bridge

What a disappointment for you Lut. I'm so sorry that they were not able to go ahead with the final stage in the procedure. All you can do is rest, recuperate, and try to keep yourself strong for a second trial.

Sending you the very best of luck with it.

    Oh NO. Oh sweetie....

If they know what nerve to stimulate..I wish they could cauterize it...even if it is temporary, it will see you through.

I hope they can find another way...

dear Lut, I'm so sorry you had your hopes dashed like that, what a shock. Praying that you recover and gain your strength back. Hopefully the next time it will be successful. I truly wish there was something more we could do to help you.

Antibiotics to treat the infection? Prayers for exceptional healing so a second trial will be a possibility.

Lut, I sent you a PM regarding stuff that can be injected into the nerve to dull it for a while, it's one treatment for neuropathic pain....I am hoping your docs can do something like that to keep you comfortable for a while...

When they DO the surgery again, it's not another trial, is it? I mean - they put everything in and it's done? No more testing?
