Hello, Idgie! My Zerlina likes to "snudge", too. And she would probably challenge you on whether you really are the Goddess Bast, since she believes SHE is the deity of the house! Congratulations and oblations on your special day!

First, thanks to everyone who wrote in with compliments and worship for Idgie! She is quite gratified, and sends snudges to all her new acolytes.![]()
For those who want to know, a ruff is a ring of fabric gathered around an elastic. It slips over the head of a cat (or small dog). If you're crafty you can make these yourself, but we discovered them in New Orleans at a store called Chi-Wa-Wa-Ga-Ga (http://www.chiwawagaga.com/). It specializes in items for dinky dogs -- but you can use them for cats, too. They sell ruffs in all colors and fabrics, for all occasions. Honestly, I think Idgie must have willed us to go there and buy her one, because from the moment she saw it, she loved it and wanted to wear it. She now has them for Mardi Gras, Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Lammas (August 1), and she adores wearing them. It's the weirdest thing.
You can check out the website and order a ruff for your cat, but most cats really don't want clothes. Idgie is just, well, her wonderful freaky self!
