We're saying lots of prayers and sending pawsitive thoughts for Yukon. I hope they can keep her comfortable till the surgery on Monday. She's so pretty, I would never have guessed she was 10 either. And these are great pictures. The one in the doorway is really endearing.

We had Thanksgiving at my sister's house last night (Kim). Yukon is taking pills for the pain and wasn't limping much last night.
    She's sooo thin!!
If she didn't have all that husky fur you'd be able to see every bone!
I hope her weight loss is just because she's getting older.

My other sister (Barb) had her partner looked at Yukon's foot last night (she was a vet tech) and in her opinion it looks like maybe at one point she had injured her pad and sliced a portion of it almost off. No one knew about it, so it healed on it's own and has more or less created another pad between her pads.

My sister just called, her husband called the vet and Yukon is out of surgery and he'll find out what they know about the lump/mass when he picks her up at 4:00 today. Ugh... more waiting...

    Prayers still needed please.
2 1/2 hours before I'll know anything else.

Yukon is home and is resting comfortably.

The Dr. felt it was necessary to send the mass out for testing. Meaning it appears not to be a pad injury. The Dr. said the mass was deeper than he thought it was going to be. (don't know quite what that means)
They should have results by Wednesday, if it turns out to be cancer they can amputate her toe, they would not have to amputate her entire foot.

So... Yukon could still use some PT prayers.

Yukon, my sister and her family and I thank you all for the moral support!
