My foster Furbee doesn't mind the medicine so much when I dip her pill in that cheesecake filling that they sell in the refrigerated section in the store, lol. She's a big fan of anything creamy and milky, lol.
Maybe Sassy would prefer something like that to mask the flavor of the pill?
Boo HATES grooming of any kind and she gets so full of knots for a sort haired girl. I have quit trying to get them out with the shedding tool but will pull them out as she walks by sometimes. Her's stick up and are short and come right out.
Now Giz, that crazy girl.... is SO use to her heart medication being crushed up with a soft Pounce treat that she now will not eat the treat without her medicine in it! Put the treat down, she sniffs and won't touch it.. Crush the pill up and grind up the treat in it and she eats every crumb...![]()

Sometimes I'm not sure Smudge would recognize his "paté" if it didn't have 3V Caps, Cosequin, and chlorpheniramine mashed into it! As it stands, the determining factor is "Do I want paté today at all, or is kibble all I really want?" Although it does help to garnish the paté with a flake or two of Kitty Kaviar.Originally Posted by Laura's Babies
