Has anyone possibly written down all the corrections in one place? I don't want to mess up anything. I'm starting to work on the cards now. If they have, can you pm me, please?

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
I miss you
I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.
Fur as dark as the night.
Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.
[/SIZE]
How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

I made out all the card addresses just as they are on our list - and mailed the international cards yesterday.
The postman pointed out to me that you must place the NAME OF THE COUNTRY AS THE LAST ITEM of the address of any card going outside the U.S. to get it there. Otherwise, he said the machines will read numbers as a zip code & it will get sent somewhere in the US. Maybe that's why some of the cards never made it last year?
I just re-wrote the country names at the bottoms, & will keep my fiingers crossed they all arrive.![]()
Now on to the domestic cards...

Addressing International Mail
Address your mail corectly to be sure that it gets there.
The first step to make sure your mail gets properly delivered is to have your mail addressed correctly. Follow our easy recommendations for both the destination and senders addresses.
Destination Address We recommend that you print your delivery addresses in all uppercase letters. If possible, addresses should have no more than five lines.
The full address should be typed or legibly written in Englishusing Roman letters and Arabic numeralsand should be placed lengthwise on one side of the item. An address in a foreign language is permitted if the names of the city, province, and country are also indicated in English. Global Express Guaranteed destination addresses must be written completely in English.
The last line of the address block area must include only the complete country name (no abbreviations) written in uppercase letters.
Foreign postal codes, if used, should be placed on the line above the destination country. Some countries prefer that the postal code follow the name, while others prefer that it precede the city or town name. The following shows the order of information for the destination address:
LINE 1: NAME OF ADDRESSEE
LINE 2: STREET ADDRESS OR POST OFFICE BOX NUMBER
LINE 3: CITY OR TOWN NAME, OTHER PRINCIPAL SUBDIVISION (such as PROVINCE, STATE, or COUNTY) AND POSTAL CODE (IF KNOWN) (Note: in some countries, the postal code may precede the city or town name)
LINE 4: COUNTRY NAME (UPPERCASE LETTERS IN ENGLISH)
The following are examples of properly formatted delivery addresses:
MS JOYCE BROWNING
2045 ROYAL ROAD
LONDON WIP 6HQ
ENGLAND
MS JOYCE BROWNING
2045 ROYAL ROAD
06570 ST PAUL
FRANCE
The following format should always be used for destination addresses to Canada:
MS HELEN SAUNDERS
1010 CLEAR STREET
OTTAWA ON K1A 0B1
CANADA

Val, on post #2 are listed al the corrections made so far....
Pat, thanks for pointing that out......
we do have a different system here, but as I sent my info thing always get to me..... well..... mostly.... thats why I listed it that way.... besides just the contry is on another line, might just need place it a lil down
I had no clue a machine read them..... good point....
another example is that as I know USA addresses start with the number than the street name, and down here is the opposite, first the name then the number.....
her you must write: name, address-number, neighborhood or residential name, then city, state, country, zip code.....
again thanks for the info and hope everyone gets it..... thanks you both!!

Almost ready to send all mine out. I am going to send them all at once. I should have them all ready to go by Friday or Monday at the latest.
I also received a couple of PMs about verifying my address. Just in case anyone else wants to be sure it is written exactly as in the list Isabel sent out. It is very similar to as Phred posted but will give an emaple using the one Phred posted for FRANCE.
copied for Phred's post...
MS JOYCE BROWNING
2045 ROYAL ROAD
06570 ST PAUL
FRANCE
mine is written like this...
MS JOYCE BROWNING
ROYAL ROAD, 2045
06570 ST PAUL
FRANCE
only difference is the house number goes behind the street address.
If anyone wants to verify feel free to PM me.
Michelle
ETA: oops forgot to mention...I will be sending pics but I am putting it together as a single picture with all the beasties in one. I will probably post it at a later date when everyone receives. I rather like how it is coming along.![]()
All posted!!
I miss you enormously Sydney, Maya, Inka & ZazouBe happy there at the Rainbow Bridge
I stopped by the post office this morning between hitting 4 stores for "sales." There was only the supervisor working, and he and I were the only 2 people in the place. SO NICE after all the crowds, every register opened, and lines down to the rear of the store, he hee. I didn't have any trouble finding my car out in the parking lot afterwards, either! So all mine are now on the way to all of you!
.
Mine are all finished. I plan to start sending them out next week.![]()
