Such a good boy and helper to the family. The bond between you and brother must be very strong. You are another great example of a shelter doggie, Beowulf. Perhaps someone gave you up because they weren't prepared for your energetic ways. The good news is that you found your forever family at the right moment. What a precious one you are Beowulf, watching over your brother so lovingly, so patiently, so diligently! You truly are a gem of a pup, and your family, so very blessed to have you in their lives. We can only wonder why someone would surrender a doggie as deserving, as precious as you, Beowulf; as has been said, maybe it was unfamiliarity with your breed traits, your need for an active lifestyle. But happily you found your way to your forever home and now those lonesome days languishing in the shelter are but a distant memory; and yes, you do have excellent taste in humans!:
