How do you hand out candy on Halloween?

I picked "Offer the bowl". I live in a neighborhood where I have so many trick or treaters, I can't keep up with them all, so I just open my door to them, I set up a table with Apple Cider, cookies, a huge bowl of candy, and try to "Scary Spice" up my entryway. It's fun for me, and I'm sure fun for them as well. It's kind of a neighborhood tradition, open your house to the kiddos, let them come in.

But most people have their houses decorated much better than mine, not everyone can keep up with the Jones's... You know?

I counted the books left against the tally I'd set up for books to be offered. We had 52 "kids".
