I've often thought that the people who actually have the power to make such decisions should be REQUIRED, as the first part of the decision-making process, to use the transit system INSTEAD OF their cars for a week or so.. long enough to get an idea of what's available (or not) on weekdays, weekends, holidays and how easy (or not) it is to manage their lives.

I sure agree with that. Here our bus runs from 7:30 am to 5 pm through the week. 9 to 3 on Saturday and forget going anywhere on Sunday!

No evening activities for us or Sunday ones either if we need the bus.

An Excellent Point Aunt Pat, But The Alderman Of Hamilton Would No More Get On A Hsr Bus, Than Jump Into The Bay.

I Couldnt Do Any Of These Without The Bus, And I Would Be Isolated.
