I am sorry to hear about your grandmother's passing. Your poor family and her poor kitties. The cats must at such a loss. If you don't mind me asking, where do you live? Maybe I can post them on my website or on Petfinder.com for you if you are in Illinois. If not, I can get you some links to rescues in your area (no kll shelters mainly for cats). I hope I can help you. Maybe you should look into a children's farm or some type of farm for Jill and Callie, that way they can be outside and safe on lots of land where there are no busy streets they can run into.

I live in Louisville, KY but I if you're in Illinois, I am more than happy to make that drive to find them some good homes.

I really do not want to place these kitties in a shelter or an animal rescue. I'd rather find a person or a home to place them. However, the children's farm sounds like a wonderful idea... I've never heard of them. How would I go about finding where some are?

Try the Yellow Pages? "Petting Farms" etc...to be on the safe side, call your shelter or Humane society and have them recommend one. They may even know of a place!

There is a children's farm near me that took in some ducks I rescued about 4 yrs ago. I am not sure if they will take cats as they had several back then. If you want I can post the cats online for you, just PM me their picture and all their information such as vet history, likes/dislikes, and what sort of family they would best fit in (kids, cats, dogs, etc.). I would be very happy to help you.

Here is the link to the website for the children's farm I mentioned above. It is called The Center.
