I have to admit that's one case where he's MUCH better off without that eye; it was a ticking timebomb. As for the restricted activity, I wouldn't worry about it. If he's leaving his stitches alone, I'd let him run amok and be a kitten again!! He probably didn't feel much like it before and is making up for lost time. Adult kitties heal fast, but babies heal even faster!
