Same from me here in RI. Have a nice juicy carrot sweetie! (No, Karen, I meant Miss Hoppy!)Originally Posted by cassiesmom

No worries, Freedom - I am allergic to carrots, so Miss Hoppy gets to eat all the carrots I buy all herself.
I took her out for some fresh air today after her (hated) antibiotics, and two of the kids next door were just getting home, and Asia and Windsor came running over to pat her, and brought the mom and baby who were with them over. Asia said the baby "is just a year old," and she wasn't sure about petting Miss Hoppy, though Asia and Windsor were showing her - and her mommy - how, so I then picked Miss Hoppy up level with baby and her mom ran her hand along Miss Hoppy's back and she was delighted. So Asia and Windsor were very happy and Miss Hoppy liked being petted, and baby even waved bye-bye to us when we parted company!
Being petted by the children is MUCH more fun than taking her medicine! And my arm was mostly covering her "naked" spot, so she didn't mind at all.
What a good girl Miss Hoppy is. I am glad that her treatment is finished and she is happy receiving attention from her fans.![]()
Glad that Miss Hoppy is doing better and is through with the treatments.

All things work together for good to them that love God.

I've been defrosted-- Thanks, Sana
Karen, I'm just now seeing this but I'm so glad that Miss Hoppy is finished with her treatments and doing so well.

Thanks everyone. She is feeling better enough that it is getting more difficult to give her her antibiotics - she really HATES them, and will quickly move her head as the syringe approaches it. It is good that Paul is a very patient person, as I hold Miss Hoppy while he administers the dreaded icky stuff. Thankfully, these are a once-a-day kind.
Now, Miss Hoppy you take your medicine like a good girl. So glad you are better![]()

Oh my, forgive me, Karen, I am so sorry - I had no idea Miss Hoppy was ill till you mentioned it on the phone! (I keep everything but "dog" and "general" on a short banner so I missed your posts entirely) But I'm very happy to hear she has responded well to her treatments. When Sherman was ill, our vet suggested seeing specialists at Tufts, and had he been less ill and treatable, we may have done that. Good to know Miss Hoppy approves of them.
Please pass along a little hug to her from me, and here's a BIG ((((HUG))) for you too!
Sorry to hear that Miss Hoppy doesn't like her medicine.
But I am glad that she is feeling better!! Get well soon, pretty little Miss Hoppy!![]()
Well, we have finished off the antibiotics, so Miss Hoppy is glad of that, I am sure. Twice today, when Paul and I entered a room at similar times, she'd get ready to dash away, just in case it was time for the nasty stuff!
But she is feeling so much better, much more energetic and like herself of a year ago, that it is great. And the fur is growing back where they shaved her, thank goodness, just as cool weather is finally setting in!
I'm so glad to hear that she's doing well and is now finished with her medicine too.I hope that she'll continue to do well.
