    GOOD NEWS!

I have read here on PT that if a cat doesn't eat for a long while, they can get what's called 'fatty liver disease'. I don't know much about it. But if she gets drinking and eating soon enough, hopefully that will help.

Great that she is using the box - get more better, Keshaw!

Along with your vets antibiotics you may want to ask about regualar electrolytes given to her.
I buy the electrolytes from revivalanimal online

    http://www.revivalanimal.com
I have packages of it and mix it with water when i feel they are a bit dehydrated and not drinking enough.
I put it in a NON needle shringe and slowly give whoever needs it 2-3 milligrams 2-3 times a day for 2-4 days as needed.
When cats get liver problems or any problems from getting older sometimes they need extra fluids...they need a lot of water at that point in their life and if their not drinking it...i usually help them with the electrolytes.
Only once in a while. Not on a regualar basis.I wouldn't do it regualarly without the vets permission.
I always have it in the house for when i see a cat look sluggish.
It's been a blessing having the powdered stuff on hand.
Mix 1/2 tsp of electrolytes to 1/4 cup or 2 ounces of water.
leave it in refridgerator and discard after a few days.

Thank You Kim for this wonderful siggy

PLEASE call the vet and see if it might be a side effect from the prednisone or the antibiotics!

Antib's mess up even a human's digestion. Hopefully the blood work will also show something do-able!

    MORE PT Prayers for Keshaw!

We called the vet to see if we can bring Keshaw in earler then 4:30 but the vet wants to wait untill the blood test comes in, so hopefully it does have something to with the shots. I have been reserching liver falure and Hepatic lipidos comes up. I have a huge feeling thats what she has... and it scares me so much.
Thanks so much Ashley for the siggy!

Try not to scare yourself. Wait until your vet takes a look at her. We still have mighty prayers headed Keshaw's way......
    Blessings,

Are the blood tests expected today?

Uabassoon had this trouble with her Corkscrew for a loooong time....and finally things got better!

Read through her thread, here in General, and you might find something helpful.

Hopefully you can syringe water and Keshaw can keep it down. Also wondering about Nutrical - it is liquid as well, and high in nutrients. Do you have any?

    HUGS!
