What kind of camera is it? I couldn't quite tell from your post if it was a Canon S2/3 or something else?

A tripod would have helped the first pix not to have camera shake. It would also have helped the rest so you could use a long shutter speed without the flash, but I'm not sure you'd want to be doing that in the middle of the street regardless of what kinda jammies you were wearing. lol
