Microsquash has been issuing SP's for Vista well prior to it being on the market. It hasn't fixed a damned thing, which is why most comp manufacturers are still offering windows XP as an option.

Frankly, Vista is in the ranks of MS DOS v 4.0 and Windows Me. Operating systems which should have never been released.

As to PC World reviews, they gave Me a good review, and I know many, many people who could never get it to install on their systems, never mind get it working.

For what it's worth, I agree with you here. Vista was rushed to market
well before the glitchs were worked out. I wouldn't touch it. It's not
worth all the trouble.

Yes but it is illogical to buy an Widows XP machine because it wont be supported by Microsoft at all by 2010. No support = No bug-fixes, security patches, service packs, no technical support, etc. And that compunded onto the fact that my current computer is about to blow up literally seems to tell me that i need an new computer.

And Windows NT and Win 2000 Pro are no longer supported by Microsquash, but they are both still in heavy use.
