Computers don't create enough heat to start a house fire unless the power supply has been altered.
Comp draws too much current, fuse blows, no more heat.

No, the power supply is almost dead. And it once sparked and caught my curtains on fire while the case was open and i tried starting it up. This had no relation to what i was doing inside of it, though. And sometimes i press the power button, i hear an little click, then nothing.Originally Posted by Lady's Human
Sorry, switching power supplies are designed to fail before sparking or causing fires. Otherwise insurance rates for houses would be based on whether or not you have a computer.

I once had an desktop catch on fire and i had to take an fire extenguisher to it. Then i traced the source of the fire to the power supply.
Reggie, I work on electronics for a living. Stop while you're ahead.

I have literally built 11 computers before to exact specs. I also fix computers at my house and i sometimes fix my teachers macs when they break. I also once helped the server technician in my school fix teh school-wide server in 1 day. Trust me, i might just be an kid, but i proably know the same or more about computers then you do.Originally Posted by Lady's Human
