Good to see your happy huskies back in harness again! Well, it has been pretty warm here but today it was only 56, and finally felt like autumn! However, I don't think we'll get much snow, being right on the ocean. We'll just have to watch for your posts all winter to get our snow fix!

Pat, you may be surprised - remember the phenomenon of Lake Effect Snow? If conditions are right, those on the coast get ocean effect snow! Some years coastal-dwellers get hardly any, some years they can get more than inland folks - depending on how many Nor'Easters hit!

Oh what happy pictures of happy, hoppy huskies!

In the second picture, looked as if Daisy wanted to be hooked up with the leaders!

If her coat wasn't all wrong for a sled dog, I'd have hooked her up years ago! Her coat is curly and snow clings to it. She always has snowballs in the winter and when Daisy gets wet, she stays wet for a long time. Not a good thing for a sled dog!

I should have more pics tomorrow. The snow never let up all day. It's still snowing now(12:30am PST). There's a good three inches on the ground now. When I was driving home from a Thanksgiving dinner party, I saw the highway crews trying to get the plows and sanders out! They weren't ready to go quite this early in the season!

Hey there, Glacier doggers! I can see from your mom's photos that you are happy to get out and go! And I like the very wise look on Muskwa's gorgeous face. It was unseasonably warm in Chicago today, 85F (29C). More of the same tomorrow, then some rain followed by cooler weather. It's strange to have weather this warm when it's dark out before 7 PM.

Great photos! Winter is here too, in the mountains at least. I'm not sure where autumn went. I love the one of Muskwa! He reminds me of Nebo.

Snow already?! OMG!!! It was in the 80's here today. Granted it's not usually this warm here in October, but wow....snow! I would have been crying, lol. I'll take Fall weather all year round! Warm days, cool nights. Perfect for sleeping.
