I had my nails done once. It looked awesome. But it drove my crazy. I was always catching them on something, and working was very difficult. It lasted a couple of days, and I took them off. Never done it since. Guess I'm just more of a natural nail girl.

"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king." - J.R.R. Tolkien

    I used to have these:

Yep, those are hand-painted flowers, and the nails + the paint job + the charm equaled about 40 USD. I took them off as soon as I flew back home, though

I've never had my nails done. I like the natural look and I also prefer to have short nails. My nails grow fairly fast and I have to trim them about every other week. I also work with my hands so long nails would just get in the way.

I do medical transcription and I find that I just can't type with fake nails. I have tried them once or twice. Several of the girls I work with have them but they are just not for me. Once I watched one of my co-workers try to do the catch on her necklace and she was unable to do it because of her long nails. My quick thought was that they made her handicapped.
