They do also race paints and appaloosas, oddly enough, besides those others mentioned, of course he's not one of those, LOL.
I do beleive he is a Standardbred, harness racing horse. They do not freeze brand the necks of thoroughbreds, that is done on the inside of the top lip. They do freeze brand the necks of purebred Standardbred horses though, so I beleive that's what he is. He looks very much like one.
How nice it must be to look out and see horses, I know I get great comfort just watching mine sometimes. Even if they aren't yours we can all enjoy them too and I'm glad they are boarding there.
Thanks Jess for the great sig of my kids!
I love you baby, passed away 03/04/2008
Standardbred. Awesome. Haha I can't tell very much on the breed of a horse just by looking at them, lol. I thought Obie was a thoroughbred for a long time before my trainer said he was a quarter horse...
OOh the teddy bears are the best!
I suppose it wouldn't work if I asked you how tall they were?? Maybe you could check with the owners if you dont know. Hehe i'm going through horse-withdrawl since I can't ride until this saturday!
in on the joke and i cant stop laughing
I have no idea how tall they are. I'm looking forward to talking to the owners and learning everything I can from them. Though they come twice daily I probably won't get to talk them too much durring the week. Weekends will be when we see them most.Originally Posted by JuniorxMyxLove

Ya, that's pretty much all we have here unless it's a big name track.I do beleive he is a Standardbred, harness racing horse. My barn is also a 2 minute ride tothe tracks and they are harness racers, no thouroughbreds. Richie was a ex racer from there, he Standardbred and freeze branded.
