The Texas Engineering Department has started a plan to end midnight cat tripping by installing lanterns in cats. Still in it's developement stages, the lanterns appear to cause no harm to felines, but not all problems have been solved.
Known problems are as follows:
A. In homes with multiple cats, a disco effect may be noticable in the wee hours of the morning.
B. Earlier rise times when cats insist on staring at you until you wake, from less than 6 inches while wanting breakfast.
C. No element of surprise while preying.
While engineers are excited to be working on this, they're remaining hopeful that no other problems arise.
