Prayers for a safe and good first treatment.

I know the vet said there might be slight damage to the heart...but he sounds like the kind of guy who will do EVERYTHING he can to avoid that.

Miss Hoppy is in the best hands - yours and Paul's and the vet's!

And God's, of course (by any other name you believe).

Thanks everyone. We are home now after the first radiation treatment. The oncology vet said she thought Miss Hoppy was in remarkably good shape for her age, except for the thymoma, of course. Miss Hoppy is still somewhat woozy from the anesthesia, and so is relaxing in the living room. When she was first coming out of the anesthesia, the vet put some hay down for her, and she immediately started bunnying it down, so quick the vet said "Hey, slow down, girl!" and Miss Hoppy just kept munching away.

The oncology vet said Miss Hoppy's breathing should improve markedly by the end of this week at the latest. We will be going next Tuesday for her second treatment, and they will take new x-rays then to see how much it has shrunk, and then we get to wait two more weeks for the third-and-final treatment.

They were impressed by how bright and responsive my girl is. I told her, as I told Dr. Mayer, that people all over the world were praying for my bunny, and that she is much loved by many.

And if Miss Hoppy doesn't groom the marker off her skin, it won't take as long next time.

Miss Hoppy, the marker is SUPPOSED to be there for the time being. Be a good bun and leave it alone. (Of course, I'm telling this to a bunny who is AFAIK still convinced that computer cables are meant to be bunny food)

So far so good, but I think she's still tired from the big procedure earlier in the day ... But the wobbliness from the anesthesia has worn off, so that's a good thing. I will go deliver some nose=pats for all of you.

And no, Lady's Human, computer cables aren't exactly food - they simply MUST be cut and moved away from the wall. Now.

The rubber/plastic covering on tool handles? Now THAT's food - ick - Paul thinks maybe it's like chewing gum or something, but I can't taste GOOD, can it? The tool box is kept shut and where she cannot get at it.

Yes, Miss Hoppy, you are feeling better aren't you? Nibbling away at the hay, cleaning up that marker spot. Prayers that you continue to feel better, and better and better. Nose rubs coming to you sweetie!
