I like the new color!!! You are very pretty with both colors but there is a youthfulness that really comes out with the dark highlights.

OK, here I am in the minority.

If I saw you with the darker color, I would have thought it looked good. And it does!! But seeing the 2 colors next to each other, I prefer the blonde.

If the blonde is your natural color, that would explain it. Most people look best in their natural color (the color that was born to go with your skin tone).

Looks terrific, both ways, to tell you the truth! But if the new color is what makes you say "Wow" about yourself, then stick with it!!! I think most of us 40 something people would love to look that good! In fact, maybe I need to do something dramatic on my cut and color day, Wednesday. You and Deb (Sirrahbed) might be my inspiration to leap out and do something different for a change!

But Jen, what about me? I was born blonde, and had blonde hair until Christmas when I was four. Then it went dark, and is brown. But if I get a lot of sun, it gets reddish - just on top ... At least mine isn't as dark as my big brother's, so the reddish streaks blend in better ...

So what would you count as my natural color??? Anything but black?

Really nice! I think darker hair makes you look younger. (not that you're not young anyway!) You're a very pretty lady!

Well, many people's hair change colors. But that is what nature intends, so at 3, you were a blonde. At 10 you were brunette. And the sun often lightens hair, another natural phenomenon.

but like I said, I prefer the blonde in this case, but the darker is very nice as well. And Logan is right......It is whatever color the person herself thinks is WOW that is the best choice. (but she asked for opinions. so I gave one )
