Well, she is ten years old already, so I am not sure she'll be around for "many" more years, but a few more at least would be great. And she's even taking her medicine like a good girl, too. That's my bunny!

I do hope she doesn;t have any side effects from the radiation.

So she is definitely having radiation? I must have missed that part somewhere. When will they do this?

We decided that that is the best course - the palliative radiation. She will start tomorrow at 10 a.m! And we will let everyone know how it goes, how often it will be, etc. I am excited at the chance to make her feel better. I know she won't live forever, even if I want her to, but at least we can hopefully shrink the tumor considerably, so it isn't affecting her little heart so much, and she'll be able to breathe better as well.

Karen, I'll be sending positive and healing thoughts to miss Hoppy tomorrow, it will be at 5PM here, so I should be awake.

It will be SO good that she can breathe easier.

    Good luck with the treatment!

Thanks everyone. We are home now after the first radiation treatment. The oncology vet said she thought Miss Hoppy was in remarkably good shape for her age, except for the thymoma, of course. Miss Hoppy is still somewhat woozy from the anesthesia, and so is relaxing in the living room. When she was first coming out of the anesthesia, the vet put some hay down for her, and she immediately started bunnying it down, so quick the vet said "Hey, slow down, girl!" and Miss Hoppy just kept munching away.

The oncology vet said Miss Hoppy's breathing should improve markedly by the end of this week at the latest. We will be going next Tuesday for her second treatment, and they will take new x-rays then to see how much it has shrunk, and then we get to wait two more weeks for the third-and-final treatment.

They were impressed by how bright and responsive my girl is. I told her, as I told Dr. Mayer, that people all over the world were praying for my bunny, and that she is much loved by many.

And if Miss Hoppy doesn't groom the marker off her skin, it won't take as long next time.
