That's my pal Toby. He currently works as a Jack Sparrow look-a-like.

    That looks pretty cool.
Looks like you had a great time with everyone as well.
Must be interesting to what people are dressed as.
    Great pictures thanks for sharing.

    How'd they do that ... ??

    WW!

Looks like a **PHUNN TYME** was had by all!

Now, HOW did you get all that *stuff* to Atlanta?
You had to have been well over your "baggage limit" on the plane.

Did you ever have to "explain" any of the "hardware & weapons" to the Airport Security folks?
IF they'd opened a couple of your bags ... there might have been some serious panic
at first glance! You packed more *heat* than a well-equipped terrorist would carry!

Glad y'all had a GOOD Tyme ... but we *missed you guys at Findlay!

    Thanks everyone.

As for the Spartans, a number of them are my friends. They all loved the movie and worked out vigioursly prior to the con.

Here's a link to Jason's photos (one of the Spartans):

The boys: l-r Chris, Jose, Jason, Arturo, Luis, and an unknown guy

They said Andy should do a Spartan costume next year..... and I laughed and laughed and laughed.

Crow_Noir... there is a guy that does a great Snape outfit. He even got the 'death eaters mark' tattooed to his arm! I have photos of him from past years... I'll have to look it up. I took more photos of Harry Potter people while waiting for the parade to start.

The actors who play Neville, Fred, and George were at the con this year.

We drive down so we don't fuss with airports. Those that do fly will typically mail their costumes/props to the hotel or send it down with friends that are driving.

Plus the road trip is fun.

I love when you post pics of conventions, they look like so much fun!

Is that the Mariott in downtown Atlanta?
If so, I stayed there for an IRS trade show in July . Not nearly as fun as your trip

Kimmy, if Phred wouldn't have asked about how you got all that stuff there.. I would have! After your 3 costume change I thought of that!

It looks like you guys had LOADS of fun!
I'm off to go look at all the other pictures!!

LOL! Yep, the Marriott Marquis. The convention is held in three hotels and it's outgrowing even that.

In past years there is some sort of Church convention that checks in as D*C goers are checking out. Talk about a culture shock. *laughs*

I do hope you realize regarding the Spartans, that i was just being a brat.

Oooooh... can't wait to see more HP group & Snape photos!

Road trips are awesome! (Vans work the best. Just the right size. Big enough for a party and TONS of storage space; small enough to park in most normal sized spots. AND unlike doing a charter tour... you can stop any time you want. "Ooooh Hey Look!!! Scenic View!")

Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.
