My mom's friend had a little yorkie for about 12 years and it got along great with her cats and chickens, and I think she had a few ducks and rabbits off and on. Her yorkie was so awesome with the other animals. Her name was Abby and she was so precious Sadly one day my mom's friend was backing the car out of the drive and accidentally ran over her. It was so terrible because they had had her for SO long.
I'm not saying any yorkie will get along well w/cats or anything, I'm just saying sometimes there are exceptions.

I hope you find the kind of dog you're looking for buttercup.

I use infodog.com, but I'm not sure if they list Canadian shows. I found this on Google, which might be a good start:

    I have a yorkie

and I know she's a bad example of the breed, but....make sure you're ready for a challenge. I researched getting a yorkie and thought she would be perfect. Bless her heart, she's a joy - but definitely a challenge.

My Molly has been non-stop 24-7 since I brought her home. For the first three months, she had to go out every 3 hours -night and day. She appears to be nocturnal (loves to roam the house all night). We have to block the hallway at night so that she can't look out the living room windows. She loves to bark at the creatures that wander through our yard at night (I live in the country). And boy does she love to bark. She has a very high prey drive and has several confirmed kills in our back yard (small rodents- ) She tolerates our other dogs for the most part. I think she'd like to be an only dog, but that's not an option and she knows it so she deals with it.

Like I said, she's not a good representation of the breed but sometimes that's what happens even if you do a lot of research.

I told someone the other day - I wouldn't take a million dollars for her, she's my baby girl. But you couldn't give me a million dollars to take another.
