Funny, your going to need to refresh my memory as to what wrong I have done to my animals? The only thing i know & admit to doing wrong was putting a large filter in my 90gal & not realizing that BIG filters eat LITTLE fishies, & Mojo was sucked into the filter to his horrible death I admit that, but thats hardly a reason to say "about your past with animals".

Heres a list of ALL the animals I have owned & been responsible for since I have Joined PT .

Axle - hes 8yrs old & in great shape. The TO zoo & the OSPCA even say so!!

Oscar - Spent a grant in 1 yr trying to fix an illness she had. She lost the fight, as that illness always causes death regardless, but I tried.

Jack - Not too sure, he just died. But Fish have a random habbit of doing that. Sure him dying the first time caused a lot of internal damage, & then he died a yr later.. I'll never know.

Mango - My friend killed him while I was homeless. He refused to follow my directions & poisoned Mango. I had no idea until Mango was already dead. As I wasn't there.

Lilly - She 1yr old & doing great!

Mojo - Already explained that.. Feel like poo cause of that. THAT was my fault 100%

30+ tiny fish in a 90gal tank - Still have them, every single guppy greats me everytime I go near the tank.

Digi - Only had her for 2 weeks. Shes put on weight & has grown. She was very thin when she was dumped on me.

Max - He was murdered while being babysat.

So out of ALL my pets, which ones are you refering to??
Chad's animals?? Sorry they wern't mine. I did my best for Bear. I dropped everything to take care of her & she wasn't even my dog!!

I would type more, but I want to go home as its 5pm & I'm off work

I didn't make this thread to start a fight with you, if you have a problem pm me.
By the way I think you forgot all the rats/mice that you bred and owned and that other little dog Mr.wiggle/Biggles something like that...

But if they are raised with them won't they be ok?

Well, not always. That helps, definitely.

I think someone on PT recently lost their cat, Loki? To a dog they'd lived together for 3 years. It was quite tragic. If the prey drive is there, then you need to always be on your guard.

Oh ya, it was CritterCrazy. So I think then maybe I would have to either look for another breed or find a breeder/rescue who socializes them well with cats.

Make sure the dog can fit in with all your other pets too. I would visit them and chem them out before (or if) you are going to get them. They are adorable though
Thank you so much for my siggy, kittycats_delight!

The rats don't count as I bred them to feed to my turtle. I took care of them & they were in a massive cage & always had fresh foods, water, & aspen. I treated some of the breeders like pets, but for the most part they were fairly wild, as they were not bred to be pets. That one male, wasn't my rat.

    Mr. Biggles wasn't my dog.

I have not miss treated any of "my" pets. I did my best for other peoples pets, but I have little to no say in the care, or treatment of those animals... Also at the time, what little money I had, went to my pets first, then me & what little that was left over, went to animals I was trying to help... Like Bear.

If you have more to say, you know where to find me.

    Yorkie are adorable dogs.
But if I remember you said that you were thinking about moving out and most landlords don't like to rent to people with pets. Most only let you have 2 pets.

I don't think that was me.
After talking to some people about them, as much as I really like them I'm thinking they won't work with my life style if I'm going to have other dogs and my kitties.

Buttercup, don't look at advertisements in magazines. Reputable breeders are popular regardless of ads. They are popular and well-known for the quality of their dogs. You will only find them if you search, not on the Internet, but at dog shows.

Go to a dog show, ask around, get a couple numbers, ask for health clearances, ask for a health guarantee, ask to see parents' accomplishments, ask about socialization, ask about their lifetime support guarantee (if they don't have this, RUN away), and, lastly, ask to be placed on their waiting list if they check out alright. It's fun to "shop around" for breeders on the Internet, but a lot of reputable breeders don't have the time or funds to keep a nice, pretty website updated. In fact, I think it's more fun to shop around for breeders at dog shows

Thanks for the advice. How do you find dog shows in your area?

If you do want a Yorkie (I'm not saying you are getting one) think about it. Think about if you handle another pet and if your cats will like a dog.

I already have 2 dogs. And all my cats adjust well to other animals being in the house.
