I was with my sister when she had her first child. I even cut the cord. She didn't plan to have me there; Naomi was early and I just happened to be visiting when she went into labour. Her hubby was trying not to faint, so he was pretty much useless! Turned out he was pretty much useless at just about everything, but we didn't know that at the time!
