Devan, can they give Tango steroids to reduce the inflammation to the disc that is slipped? (I'm a nurse) And something for pain? An acquaintance on the other pet forum I read has a dog that had back problems and made a terrific recovery with steroids, pain meds, and antibiotics. It was not a fast recovery by any means though. Please let us know what the myelogram shows. Thoughts and prayers for Tango.

Edited to add: I went to gratefulness.org this morning and lit a cyber-candle for Tango

Think positive. Maybe she won't even need surgery. And if she does it could work out fine. Autumn and Buster have both slipped discs. You can get her a doggie wheelchair if she's in no pain but doesn't recover her walking. The one thing that comes to mind right now is her nerves not coming back as well after such a wait. But positive thoughts are what we need to send for Tango right now.

oh my god Im completely heartbroken at this news. this is so shocking, I cant imagine what you must be feeling, I am so sorry. I know how special she is and how much youve accomplished with her. I hope you will get some good news tomorrow, or at the very least some definitive answers. I will be keeping Tango and your family in my thoughts. ***GOOD LUCK***
