Kiri is not afraid of many things and it hasn't been thundering lately. But I find it strange that every once in a while, she'll start panting. She's a cross between a Shih-tzu x Bichon (I tried downloading a picture but it won't let me). And usually she's full of beans for most of the day but now she's lying down all day.

Because of that last sentance, I'd say a vet appointment is in order - a marked change of behavior can be a sign of illness.

I agree with the vet visit. Blood and urine profile would be a good starting place.

Well I took Kiri to the vet and she is fine. Of course, she is not panting anymore and has her energy back. It's like when you think something is wrong and when you get to the doctor's office, nothing is wrong anymore. But thank you all for your help!

Good to hear she's okay. Better safe than sorry.

(Lady has plenty of energy when it comes to going to the vet's office. Unfortunately it's all expended in trying to escape. Whitecoats are BAD!)

Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.
