If you think it sounds bad, check some of the fire department videos.

They do a tape where they make one of those suckers explode near a wall.

    ------------------

A few tips about BBQing a turkey.

    One, two and three.

    NO kids in the area.
Make sure you are away from any building,
    Get a Giant Fire Extinguisher!

    -----------------

Make sure your bird is defrosted and fairly dry.

Water will make the oil spatter and hit the flame.
Ice will sit for a while then explode.

Make sure you have at least two people to dunk and remove the bird.
    Three just in case.

A 60% third degree burn is surviveable-

Third degree burn means there is damage to the flesh. The infections, shock and depth of a burn determines if you live or die.

In an adult it may be surviable, but 60% of a childs small body is very, very
serious. The area of burn is so large that infection can overtake the victim
quickly. The child doesn't have the body resources adults have.

How sad!!!! Poor little boy. I have to agree with everyone else, where were the Parents????

I have a Turkey Fryer, but I went and paid the extra money for a Electric one. It is much safer, cause there is no Open flames, and the Whole fryer is more Stable cause it is wider, and not as high off the ground. It would take a lot to knock mine over. But even with all that, I am very careful when it comes to them, and surely do not let any of my kids around them when they are in use!!!
    Maggie,

I didn't slap you, I just high fived your Face!
