The Old Girl & Mr. Humpsalot for sure...I'm still debating whether I want to bring Princess Mini or not.

    Debby,
If your planning on coming maybe you could stay in another town close to Findlay. Just a thought.
I hope you'll be able to make it!

Looking forward to seeing everyone (thanks for the update Stac!)

Hey, Princess Mini and Princess Sierra could hang out together all day and have people serve them treats all day long!
Plus this way if Lucy the pug/chi isn't there again, Sierra will have someone little to follow around!

But I think barring any complications - we should be fine.
Tim B. - the Hancock Parks Director - just called me ...
The Riverbend Park area got hit a little harder than was apparent when Staci drove through ...

Their Park Ranger Station - just north of the Dawg Park and across the road ...
had TWO FEET of flood water inside!

The Dawg Park itself was under about a FOOT of water, as was some of the parking lot.
The Lil Bridge across the drainage "creek" floated away.
Thankfully, The Lodge, that new, large and pretty rental building near the road, was spared.

Tim reported that the Grounds Crews were going to start mowing again today -
the grass has gotten way ahead of them this last week. The Lil Bridge will be re-set
into it's proper place later today.

Hopefully, the Dawg Park and Pavilion #7 will be "presentable enough" for us on Sunday.

THANKS to all the Hard Working Park District Employees!

Just thinking... *perhaps* a Plan B meeting place should be scouted out, just in case. ??? (Even if it is just brainstorming so that everyone isn't scrambling at the last moment if things don't go as planned/hoped.)

Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.

Uhhh, just wanted to let you all know that I haven't sent in any of my dogs info yet. Kind of too late for that now. Are you guys going to still try to get together at the dog park?

Wrap it all up and send it on Wednesday ... it should be delivered on Friday.

Pay for a "RETURN RECEIPT" - makes the Park Office "sign for the envelope"
when it's delivered - you'll get a "Delivered" card back next week.

BRING that postal receipt (the one you'll get tomorrow) with you ...
hopefully the Service Ranger will accept that as proof you mailed in the registration.
Bring LAST year's membership card if you still have it ... show's you're a Frequent Flyer.

Not a problem at all Robin!!
I faxed my stuff to them (cert. of shots and filled out app...etc) on a Wednesday, then put a copy of it all along with a check the same day and I had my card for the dog park that Friday! (just 2 days before the meeting )

Even of you don't get your card on time, just bring your paper work to the park with you and the pups!

Print out the application from their website (be sure to sign it)
    http://www.hancockparks.com/pdf/DogParkApplication.pdf

And fax it to: (419) 423-5811
Here's their phone number and e-mail so you can call/e-mail them to make sure they got your paper work!

I'm doing a sunshine dance & praying for safe travel for all of you! Know that we are with you in spirit. Please, give each other an extra hug from me, too!

*When you sit on the bench, my Sherman will be very nearby, perhaps you'll feel him sitting there so serenely, waiting for a treat...he was such a good boy. Thanks for loving him as much as we did.

I'll be watching for photos, bye bye for now!

    -------------------------------------------------------

It's been days since it last "rained"; Thursday morning there was an hour of
"Fog/Mist" reported at the Findlay Airport.
With fair skys, warm temps, and a light breeze since then ~
the ole Bark Park might be almost "dry" by Sunday!

    Bring your Sunny Glasses!
