He's gorgeous!
Just let him take his own time to get used to the new place and people, usually doesn't take too long.

As G535 said, let him get used to the place. Also, you can use an old shoelace to play with him. He can chase and 'kill' the one end of it - and he will be playing with you, yet not so close that he is uncomfy.
Playing is a good way to bond with him! He is SOOO cute!![]()

Hi, welcome! This site "can" become addictive, he he.
Mowgli is such a wonderful kitty! As mentioned, play time is a great way to bond and help him to overcome his caution and nervousness.

Welcome to PT! Funny how we ran across one another here.... we've "known of" one another many years on another, non-pet related, forum. Congratulations on your new sweet kitty and for finding PT. As you can see, I post here way more than the other forum.Originally Posted by MyCatMowgli

WELCOME! Mowgli is a charmer. I have a bengal mix myself (Remus, in my signature) and he is the most social cat out of my herd. My newest kitty, Hoodini is about 10-12 weeks and he is just now starting to be social. Playing with him definately did help, and letting him set his own boundries helped too. I tried not to expose him to a lot of people at first, and now Im letting him choose who he wants to visit with. Some days he comes out of hiding, some days not lol.
Welcome to PT! I have two babies Jack & Sunny who were from a Cat's Protection shelter here in South Wales. You can check out their website here if you haven't heard of them, they're THE cat charity in the United Kingdom

You can see a picture of Jack (naughty mummy's boy!) and Sunny (naughty daddy's girl!) below
Mowgli is beautiful and very handsome, I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with him growing up!
Socialising wise I think it's best to introduce him to one new person at a time, so he can get used to smells and different situations. Bengals are supposed to be Extremely sociable animals so he will probably be a doll in the future! Let him do things at his own pace, as of course you can't force a cat to do anything it doesn't want. (and tha'ts why we all love them!)
Just take it slowly but surely and I'm sure he'll grow up very confident.
Interaction with him yourself with playing etc is paramount for his development I think.
