Recent accidental police dog bites.

The police dog is trained to take down someone ON COMMAND. These
dogs are real members of the police force & acting on orders to subdue
the BAD guy, not other innocent dogs or people.

So, what happened with this K-9?

Let me define this a little better....

A k-9 handler and an idiot dog fighter just basically want their dogs to bite.
Either on command or by 'pitting' it.

You can never ever trust a dog that is shown or has the propensity to bite people-and by the same token you have a story about a dog who has been in a family for years and one day he goes beserk and ????


My personal opinion is that any dog-with the exception of Pomeranians- should never be taught to bite or fight.....

We have taken dogs into our homes to be companions, not weapons.

Richard, the only "propensity " the trained dog has is to execute the specific
commands of it's handler. The dogs used in police work are taught to bring
down & hold the fleeing person & that's what they do. It's not a wild attack
that causes fatal injuries.

Hell i love my dogs but would not trust them at all. I let them lick my hand and my arms and legs if they want but if they go to lick my face then they are put down this is not good because if you let them in that far they can do some serious damage dogs have bad days too. Mine are not trained to take anyone down but a German Sheppard or other breeds are trained and bred for this kind of thing so they definitely have more of propensity to do it as for the post man it could have easily been a child dressed in a scouts uniform

Let's review,
In the first story, what was the man that was attacked by the k-9 doing?
I guess the car dealership incident puts new meaning into, "putting the bite on you"?

K-9s are taught to bite the arms of a person. You can go back and look at how many handlers and other officers, who are wrestling around on the ground, that are bitten by their own dogs.
