I read that she had one son who passed away when he was only 40 years old.
But she has four grandchildren and many more great grandchildren. So I suppose her fortune went to them.
Yes, she was a mean one - but she did give a lot of money away too.
Makes you wonder doesn't it? Why was it necessary for her to be so cruel to people?

I remember when her son passed away. Leona Helmsley evicted her daughter-in-law and her son's children from the apartment they shared with her son. Now THAT'S mean!
